Not the World Jamboree

A Jamboree for Explorer Scouts ( Venture Scouts, etc)

Located in wonderful Northern Ireland on the coast at Crawfordsburn International Scout Centre, just a few miles from Belfast. The Jamboree will run from Wednesday 31st July 2019 through to Monday 5th August 2019.

The Jamboree is full catered and is projected to cost £200 per head. This does not include travel to or from the Jamboree site. To attend as a participant you must be aged between Thirteen years and six months old as a minimum and under the age of Eighteen years old on the 1st day of the Jamboree. If you wish to attend as a Leader or Staff you must be Eighteen years old or over and hold a valid appointment with your national scout association.
If you want to make the Jamboree part of a longer visit, there is plenty to do and see. Other Scout campsites can be found on the ScoutsNI website

Booking

Booking forms are now available to download if you want your explorer unit to attend or if you are interested in attending as staff. Places are strictly limited, so early booking will be essential.

Programme

Details of the program will appear on the programme page over the next few weeks. Besides onsite activities, there are an number of adventurous activities available. These include:-

• Rock Climbing
• Sea Kayaking
• Dinghy Sailing
• Canoe River Running including over Rapids
• Caving
• Scavenger Hunt

One night will be spent off site at the over night Backwoods experience - building your shelter and cooking on open fires.

Many onsite activities and events will be also included.

What is not included

All participants, Leaders and Staff will need to bring money for a meal on Thursday Evening as we will be travelling back from a day trip to Scotland. The 1st meal provided on Wednesday will be the opening BBQ on Wednesday evening. The last meal will be breakfast on Monday morning. Those visiting from outside Northern Ireland will have the option to order ingredients to make a packed lunch on Monday.
